Physical Therapist

Mark Layton brings 20 years of experience in home health and outpatient therapy to Elevation. Originally from Perryville, Missouri, he graduated from Saint Louis University where he received a Bachelor of Exercise Science degree followed by a Master of Physical Therapy degree. He began his career at Christus Schumpert Sport Specialists in Shreveport, Louisiana where he primarily treated orthopedic sports injuries and post-op patients. Mark is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA, and was dually certified as an Athletic Trainer by the NATA for the first 6 years of his career where he assisted the LSUS collegiate baseball team and local area high school football teams. He gained additional certifications in Back to Golf and MedX Lumbar Rehabilitation.  In 2006, Mark switched gears and began to focus on serving the elderly through home health. In 2008, Mark opened his physical therapy practice to achieve his dream of creating a company that made a significant impact on others by providing amazing value and genuinely caring for others both through home health services and outpatient therapy. Mark enjoys hunting and fishing, spending time outdoors, and being with friends and family. He spends much of his free time playing with and coaching his 3 sons various sports teams. He remains committed to making Elevation a world-class company, one that genuinely cares about those they have the opportunity to serve, and the team of ‘A’ players that surround him.  Mark is happily married to Hot Springs native Stephanie Baldwin Layton for 12 years and has 3 sons Luke, Jack, and Andrew.
